Introducing the Job Line: Stay Updated on Employment Opportunities

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve member services, we have implemented a Job Line system. We will no longer make individual calls regarding job opportunities. Instead, members can call the toll-free Job Line to hear about available positions or click below to view them online.

Here’s How It Will Work

  1.  The Job Line number is 1-855-747-2111. This is a toll-free number and can be used by our members for the sole purpose of bidding on posted jobs. We will not respond to unrelated messages or record lay-off dates left on this toll-free number.
  2.  Available positions will be posted on the Job Line by 4:30 PM each day. We will listen to messages left on the toll-free number at 9:00 AM daily.
  3.  Members interested in applying for positions within their classification must leave their name and telephone number, along with the position of interest. Please be clear about the exact position being applied for.
  4.  When more than one person applies for a position, we will select the person, in their turn, from the Dispatch List. To be considered for a position, applicants must be on the applicable Dispatch List and have union dues in good standing.
  5.  Please continue to call the Union Office at 709-747-2111 to inform us when you are laid off. You will be placed on the Dispatch List on the day you notify the Union Office.
  6.  We reserve the right to amend and improve this service as we proceed and as deemed appropriate to better serve our members.
